Procurement Category Manager
The purpose of this job will be to operational support as a European Office (EO) Category Manager to the Head of Procurement throughout the end to end procurement process, taking ownership for the development and delivery of sourcing projects and savings for all areas of Expenditure. This means taking responsibility of your own relationships and collaborating closely with internal partners to define requirements and suppliers in order to gain accurate project plans. Marketing expenditure will be handled through our Procurement System BQMS.
This role requires someone who can work independently. This will be a great experience to allow the Category Manager to work within all areas of Procurement and would suit someone who has worked within a Procurement department.
•Set the foundation of Procurement best practice within the European Office (EO) by providing strategic advice and support to all of the European Marketing Team in all procurement aspects
•Support the newly launched procurement system – BQMS. Ensure all marketing stakeholders are aware of new ways of working and best/compliant procurement practices
•Train Marketing and Agencies on the system and processes
•Manage the due diligence and other requirements to set up marketing agencies in BQMS
•Create and lead marketing vendor pool across all marketing subcategories: Brand, PR/Events/Experiential, Digital/Dotcom, CRM, CMI.
•Manage and collaborate closely with marketing suppliers to enable multi-quotations or pitching processes whenever required
•Evaluate supplier’s capability, core skills and commercial offer/rate cards to ensure the best partner is selected to deliver the project
•Develop and strengthen agency selection process outside of BQMS (brief guidance and review, pitching process and vendor evaluation/scorecards)
•Lead procurement strategy for EO and ensure all procurement processes are optimised to fit the European Office business needs
•Investigate other potential optimisation areas and propose solutions.
•Carry out analysis and interpret data from SAP and BQMS to support category planning
•Ensure Marketing projects are all completed within our procurement system, BQMS. Mitigate possible risks by securing IP rights, managing early payments and liaising with agencies to provide sufficient level of details in quotes.
